Watched this when it first came out. A powerful film. Romance up and down. Irons is not very good, whicle Steep is brilliant.

Very good TV production from Arte. About a forensic doctor, her life and time with a falcon.

So much in this film, Steep is her usual brilliant. Remember the emotion of this film when it first came out. I also recal the actual "National Geographic".

Another series (Part 3) which is just as good as the first 2.

A rather wonderful film in the classic "French" style. Personal and love/tragic. Very well acted. Gets to the heart and core.

Apparently based on a true story. Set in Africa - Uganda - it seems to show many of the problems when a country (continent) is poorly managed. Ida Amin was presented as a joke in UK media at the times, but for the people under his "leadership" there was no laughing.

A strange, incomplete sci-fi with lots and lots of CGI. 100% brian power - wierd.

Interesting endings - wrapping up all (well nearly all) the loose ends. Made me think, especially about the fantasy of relion in a world where there is more than enough good to not need some lies to make it seem good.

A series about the UK, focused on the NE of the country with any number of actors who later became well-known. Quite depressing especially looking back on what transpired.

Rather silly dating series. Some people are close to impossible.

Another tax bill around the corner for the folk who put this one together. I feel so glad I don't live in London, it must be terribly confusing and totally irrelevant. Nice ending though...

A creative animation of the unique "children's" book of the same name. In essence this describes the situation where there is a concensus that humanity wants and needs fossil fuels, but at the same time ignores the consequences. NPR 50 years later gives credit to the author.
Recommended.

Watched this when it first came out in a plane coming back from the US. Lady baseball players during WWII. Nostalgic.

8-part series, suspenseful, based on a novel. Well acted about 2 women who blackmailed folk about secrets. A messy ending but well acted.

Interesting put-together documentary about Pez collectors.

What a mess, what was this all about. Waste of space and CGI for the sake of it.

Old people romcom set in dreary London.

Fun flick based partly on a true story. The romantic parts are not so true to life, sadly.

Matt Daemon, a favorite of mine. A CIA man who is as much a "company man" as one can imagine making a difficult decision. Well acted.

Bill Nighy - well, as Bill Nighy. I only vagely remember watching this. A very well-crafted political thriller about the torture camps set up by the Americans.

Touching movie about a disfigured kid. Good performances by Jacob Tremblay, Owen Wilson and Julia Roberts.

I don't really know what this flick is all about - but maybe that's the point?

Terrific acting from Anne Hathaway, Jeremy Strong, Anthony Hopkins, etc.. But, it leaves a rather depressing taste - reality.

Fun flick with Matt Daemon and Christian Bale on the making of the Ford GT40.

Excellent acting and writing. Fast moving and entertaining. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo really fits the part.

Distopia caused by a fungus. Scary, well actually troubling.. A bit like "The Road", but with crawlies. Pretty exhausting stuff and so many bodies, almost a mafia movie. The filming is amazing, how did they make all those buildings?

An excellent movie with superb acting from Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba. Not really a surprise when the screen writer is Aaron Sorkin, based on the book by Molly Bloom. Much of the story is in fact true. Recommended.

Netflix series based on a fictional story of a DDR killer. Somewhat like the Swedish Dragon Girl books and TC series. Very well done.
