Since I was 9 years old a bicycle has been a part of my life. I used to ride to school and back - 12 klicks each way. I do remember being surrounded by fog on the road approaching Topsham with cars whizzing around me.
When I was very much engaged in the business of earning money, and also running my own company I used to take time out for a bike ride - to clear the mind and stress the body. Always a good thing to do. Later I took to longer trips, both on my own and as part of the "Gang of Four". That is my sister, my brother-in-law and his brother-in-law. These latter trips were across France, a great country for riding a bike, as long as you don't need to take it on a train without some notice. Now-a-days I have a Brompton which is admirably suitable for shopping when parked up at a campsite somewhere. 2015 On Brompton in Spain, France, Austria and Germany. 2014 On Brompton in the UK, Switzerland and Spain 20092002 France - Geneva to Avignon - With the gang of 4.
